Our Facilities
St. Gall School has a number of facilities for our students. These spaces
provide the opportunity for our students to grow and learn in new ways
that help them adapt to the technology in our changing world. These
facilities teach our children that learning can and does take place
everywhere, not only in the classroom.
This is our Resource Room. It is equipped with a flat-screen
television and a VCR/DVD player. It also contains a Promethean
Interactive Board. The Resource Room also has comfortable
tables and chairs for students seeking a place to study under
supervision or for teachers utilizing the room for tutoring
sessions and meetings.
Our Computer Lab is equipped with 35 student workstations.
Each computer has Internet access and is linked to the St. Gall
network. Students may save homework and classwork in the
school network drives and can access those files from any
computer in the school. The lab is also equipped with a Smart
Board for student and teacher presentations. Most classes
attend computer class twice a week.
Our library is filled with a number of age-appropriate volumes for
student use. The library carries fiction and non-fiction books, as
well as magazines and popular reading for Preschool through
Eighth grade students. The library is run by our dedicated parent
volunteers. All students have library once a week.
The Art Room is a bright, colorful learning environment for our
students. St. Gall students are encouraged to express
themselves creatively in the Art Room and use a variety of styles
and art supplies to create bright and expressive works of art.
Students have Art once a week.
A typical classroom at St. Gall School is filled with students. Our
teachers have brightly decorated classrooms to encourage
learning. Each classroom has computers for students to engage
and learn. Student work is proudly displayed, and students take
pride and ownership of their classroom. Students sit at an
individual desk and have desk space to store their supplies.
Finally, a crucifix hangs on the wall in each classroom to remind
us that we live and learn in a Catholic school environment and
that we are preparing ourselves to live as responsible Catholic
Christian adults.
The science lab is available for all classes to use but mainly
serves our Junior High students. In the lab students have
access to tools, books, and other resources, making this lab
nearly a full service, working science lab. With supervision,
students work on lab projects that enhance the education they
receive at St. Gall School.
Nearly all of our classrooms are equipped with a SmartBoard or
Promethean Interactive Board that takes learning to a new level
and bridges the gap between the classroom and technology.
