St. Gall School's Junior High performed
Shakespeare's "The Taming of the
Shrew" on Thursday and Friday, April
30 and May 1. Students in the seventh
and eighth grades brought the play to
life and excited audiences with this
story of romance and comedy. The play
focused on Kate, a miserable sullen
young woman whose younger sister is
beautiful and charming. Everyone
hopes to marry Kate's sister, but before
they are permitted to marry her they
must find a husband for Kate. The St.
Gall Junior High performance was both
humorous and touching. Every year,
the St. Gall Drama Club led by 8th
grade teacher Ms. Kelsey, presents a
Shakespearean play. In previous years
the club has performed "A Midsummer
Night's Dream" and "Romeo and Juliet".
The Drama Club is just one of the many
exciting extra-curricular programs St.
Gall School, 5515 S. Sawyer Avenue
has to offer. To learn more, call
