Get Involved!
We need and love our
volunteers!
Would you like to help us at St. Gall School?
Great! We NEED you! We WANT you here!

We need volunteers for every aspect of our school community.
Everyday volunteer opportunities include:

  • Parking lot patrol
  • Lunchroom monitors
  • White envelope stuffers
  • Room parents
  • Librarians
  • Substitute teachers
  • Coaches of a team or a club

Looking for a way to volunteer but can't come here everyday? We hold plenty of
events each school year and we're always looking for extra staff! Ways we can use
your time and talents include:

  • Run a booth, serve food, or sell tickets at our annual Back-To-School Block
    Party!
  • Run some games, sell food, or work security for our annual Halloween party!
  • Chaperone one of our school dances!
  • Become a room parent and help out with monthly activities!
  • Be a speaker for our Career Builders series!
  • Chaperone a classroom field trip!
  • Come sign sheets and pass out cookies at our annual Walk-A-Thon!
  • Donate juice, cookies, and water for our dances, parties, E.X.P.L.O.R.E., and
    Walk-A-Thon!
  • Donate financially to keep great fundraisers and events alive at St. Gall!

What do I have to do to become a volunteer?

ALL school volunteers who are spending a day or 5 or more hours with
students have to attend Chicago Archdiocesan mandated training. All St. Gall
teachers, staff, and volunteers must attend this one-time training session. It is
a three-hour class that includes videos, handouts, and online registration in the
VIRTUS training course which sends monthly training updates to your email.
These can be completed at your leisure and keep you "active" in the
Archdiocese.  Training sessions will be held throughout the year at and around
St. Gall in both English and Spanish. We encourage all our parents to attend
so they are prepared to volunteer in our school at any time, day or night.
