Our Journey
A Church, School & Parish with Deep Historical Roots
St. Gall parish in Gage Park, Chicago, began in the 1840s with German farmers and became a standalone parish in 1899. Rapid growth in the 20th century led to the establishment of a school in 1910 and several relocations to accommodate its expanding congregation. The parish has embraced diversity over the years, notably introducing Spanish-language Masses in 1996, and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2000. Today, St. Gall remains a vibrant community hub, committed to serving the spiritual and educational needs of its parishioners.
Principal's Welcome
Welcome to St. Gall School!
Founded in 1910, St. Gall School was established to empower the youth of Chicago’s Southwest Side to be academically, emotionally, and spiritually prepared for the challenges of high school and life.
Over 100 years later, we proudly carry on that tradition. Our mission is to prepare students to be compassionate models of Christ as we nurture the whole child, foster leadership within each student, and empower every child to reach their full potential. We are dedicated to creating a spirit of trust, understanding, and cooperation between school and home so that our students can grow and learn in a supportive and harmonious environment. Together, our faculty, staff, and students strive to live out our core beliefs: We are a family; We are made in the image and likeness of God; Challenges are opportunities; Everyone can be successful; Joy and learning coexist.
My journey at St. Gall has been one of deep growth and gratitude. I have been part of this school community for over 10 years, beginning as a 2nd grade teacher and later serving as assistant principal while completing my Instructional Leadership Ed.S. It has been a true blessing to continue that journey as principal, leading a school that I have come to know and love so deeply.
At St. Gall, each student is truly known and loved. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels seen, supported, and challenged to become the best version of themselves.

Blessings and All Good Things,
Ms. Laurie Giannoni
