The Monsignor Hishen Scholarship honors the remarkable legacy of Monsignor Hishen, who faithfully served St. Gall Parish for over 30 years. Under his leadership, the parish experienced its greatest period of growth—spiritually, socially, and physically—including the construction of the current church building and school expansions.

Monsignor Hishen believed the altar should be the center of the church, and his vision shaped St. Gall into a vibrant community rooted in faith, education, and service. Even in retirement, he remained active in parish life, always putting the needs of the people first.
