Volunteer Requirements

At St. Gall School, we encourage parents and family members to volunteer for various opportunities throughout the year, including field trips, fundraising events and after-school activities.

All school and parish volunteers, priests, deacons, seminarians, and pastoral center employees must adhere to the Compliance Guidelines. These guidelines outline the required conduct for those involved in the community.

According to the Archdiocese of Chicago, all individuals who volunteer around the

students must complete the following to be compliant.

VIRTUS Training

All volunteers, chaperones, and employees over 18 must complete VIRTUS training followed by Mandated Reporter training, coordinated by Mrs. Angela Lozano-Granado at St. Gall school, offered a few times a year in Spanish or English.

VIRTUS training instructions HERE.

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct process underscores a commitment to creating a safe and nurturing space for education, ensuring that all interactions are grounded in mutual respect and understanding. A completed form dated and signed must be returned to our office.

CANTS Form

It is mandatory that all volunteers within the Archdiocese of Chicago fill out a CANTS form. This is utilized to perform a background check and assess individual volunteers. A signed CANTS Form must be submitted to the office.
